360° is all the rage right now and not so long ago it would have been a very expensive proposition to even think about purchasing 360 camera and related equipment. However more and more companies are making it easier and cheaper to own a 360 camera, if you want a free solution you can consider using your smartphone with the Cardboard camera app, it’s basically a panorama app that converts the image taken so you can upload it to facebook, but if you want to get a more spherical 360 then these cameras are for you:
1. Ricoh Theta S
The Theta S is the 3rd generation of 360 cameras from Ricoh and it is by far the best consumer 360 camera out there, with the ccompanying iOS or Android app the camera is feature rich and easy to use.
2. Samsung Gear 360
Samsung’s Gear 360 is the 360-degree camera we’ve all been waiting for. It stands out. It has the power of one of the world’s biggest tech companies behind it but unfortunately it’s not easy to put in the pocket like the Theta S.
3. Kodak SP360
The Kodak Pixpro SP360 is not your typical action cam — something you can tell just by looking at it.
It’s a small box of a camera that’s shock-, dust-, freeze- and splashproof with almost the entire top taken up with an f2.8 8.25mm lens (35mm equivalent). That is a very, very wide lens capable of capturing a circular 360-degree view in photos or video.
